Artist picture
Lake Fork Verne and his banjo. Original country and Americana songs. Songs of yesteryear, growing up during the great depression 1930's and the way things are
Just me and my banjo...writing and singing about how things used to be long ago in the 30;s and 40's and how those experiences affect today. I started out wanting to get on record these stories and songs for my grandchildren; but after doing it for a while, others have expresses interest so we are recording and putting them out there.

Oh my Gosh I love this story! Wouldn't it be nice to go back in time when nobody opened on Sunday. Nowadays you just expect to get gas anytime, anywhere. Although it may be mighty hard to get your horse shoed up. Great song Vern!

This is right on the 'mark' for traditional folk telling lyrics!! I just love this!! I think your lyrics are like a lost style that I am so glad you are keeping alive!! Wonder if the folks of Kinmundy even know this bit of info?!?! Your the best Verne!!! Have a wonderful weekend and hopefully lots of sunshine. Rosie
