Deceit was formed in October of 2008 by guitarist David Dix and bassist Kyle Winchester in Roswell, Georgia. Both members had a vision to play well crafted extreme music. Each of them already had material, so the two collaborated, combining ideas and adding their own input to each others songs. Deceit would spend weeks molding and perfecting their material before they began to practice and record it. Every little detail would be looked at and analyzed before a song was considered finished, in their present effort to bring a beneficial contribution to the death metal community. It would be more than three months before the first track, Pernicious Storm, was completed. Now working hard to finish recording their first EP entitled, 'Malevolence of the Sun', Deceit attempts to both push the boundaries of death metal as well as write what they believe is exciting, interesting, intricate music. The "Malevolence of the Sun" EP is written entirely by David Dix and Kyle Winchester. It is being recorded in Roswell, Georgia by the band, and then sent off to Damian Herring in Columbia, South Carolina to be mixed and mastered. The debut EP is set to be released sometime in June 2009.
