Born Antwon Joiner in Cleveland, Ohio. Flexing Twon has loved music all of his life. Originally known for his exceptional dancing skills with Pop locking already a part of the hip hop culture, Flexing Twon found himself attending many of the local hip hop events. It was unusual to see him free styling with some of the local artist. Initially a hobby, people started recognizing that he could also rap.
Flexing Twon has a unique flow with a usual unorthodox flow. Some of his influences include Mac of No Limit, Brotha Lynch, Field Mob and Jay Z. He has opened for national acts such as Paul Wall, Soulja Boy, Lil Flip, Gucci Mane, and many more. Flexing Twon has won the NELLY air force contest, and the pop locking champ of Cleveland contest and has been featured in numerous newspaper adds.
Flexing Twon decided to rap seriously in 2005. He released numerous songs and flooded the city with his music. One of his more popular songs Mr. Postman was a huge success. Also known for his customized clothing, Flexing Twon made outfits for members of dipset. He acknowledge the opportunity to give them his demo. Ironically Juelz Santana later released a song called Mr. Postman. Although his version was copywritten he didn’t have the resources to pursue his case. While that was an unfortunate situation it did not stop his hunger for success. Heavy networking on the internet via Myspace Flexing Twon connected with A.S.E.T. The Group instantly gelled creating numerous songs. One Song entitled Don’t Step on my J’s, was a huge success. It has been a mainstay on the radio and in local clubs throughout Memphis. It has also led to talks with Jermain Dupree of SoSo def.
Flexing Twon is very determined for success and has no problem promoting himself musically and fashionably. Expect to hear more from him in the future now that he is under new management with Talk Money Management.
