A New artist with an old school feel that is very different but reminiscent of true hip-hop.
Born in Mannhattan, New York and transplanted down south at an early age, Dalkim grew to love writing. It was his escape from the street life that was increasingly seeming to take first place in his life. With no father figure in his life he relied on his poetry to help him through those times. It helped little and while running the streets doing what thugs do found out that he was going to be a father...he was fifteen. Not knowing what else to he thugged harder which landed him in the dept. of juvenile justice with a 13 month stretch for 72 counts of auto theft and grand larceny. He would not see his son's birth. When he was released he was determined to do something with his life so at the age of 16 years old he tried to put his young life back together. He tried to get back into school, but since he had gotten his GED in juvy they would not allow him back into high school plus the fact that they didn't really want him back there anyway too much bad blood. So he decided to enroll in the local community college, but he would have to wait a few more months because he was not yet 17 years old. So he waited and gradually got back into the streets. Soon after his 17th birthday Dalkim took the entrance exam to get into college and passed with a very high score, but by this time he was also heavy into the street game. He did well in college and was on his way to a four year college with the credits accumulated but the streets would not let him leave. After just turning 19 years old Dalkim was given 45yrs. suspended to 15yrs.for Carjacking, Armed Robbery and Kidnapping and because of the Armed Robbery charge would have to do 7 1/2 yrs. before being eligible for parole. He ended up doing 10yrs. But while in prison Dalkim continued to write and turned his poems into songs and with a wealth of experiences, pain, and knowledge Dalkim is back home and ready to carve his niche in the world and the rap game...be warned!!!!!
