Acoustic rock and folk rock with country, blues, and American Songbook influences.
Formerly "Dr. C and the Stratocats," I'm now on a solo career as "Dr. C," but I had to change my stage name here because someone else had already claimed it. My music strives for melody above all else; I strive to make my songs memorable, so you can whistle a tune immediately. I see melody as the element most lacking in contemporaryr music. I love Sinatra and the Beatles, Gordon Lightfoot, Paul Simon, anyone who can write a memorable "tune."

Story behind the song
I had a dark vision of the end and put it to music.
Lyrics
Apocalyptic The world was as black as onyx, onyx There were no more sunsets or dawnings, dawnings Blindly we assembled as we groped our way by touch Huddling for warmth because the universe went bust If you were present I know you'd be weeping For all the light seeping away But first that old moon must turn bloody, bloody The oceans polluted and muddy, muddy The rivers must be poisoned by the tail of the worm And citadels of righteousness will fall and break and burn I wish I could tell you a different ending The prophets have spoken, there's no re-sending Does the Bible know some future we cannot descry Or is it just mythology with no pie in the sky? If you were present I know you'd be weeping For all the light seeping away The world was as black as onyx, onyx There were no more sunsets or dawnings, dawnings Blindly we assembled groped our way by touch Huddling for warmth because the universe went bust
