Story behind the song
Its about a couple different ideas. Part of it is about those types of people who are in love with the IDEA of love instead of the actual feeling of it. It was inspired by someone who was overheard saying they fell in love with someone within like days of meeting them. The other part of the song is about losing touch with people you are close to (relatives, friends, etc.) and them passing away right when you decide to come around again. Its from the standpoint that their passing was a message to prove the point that you wasted a chance to be close by not taking the opportunity when it was presented. Its also about pressing forward without allowing past mistakes or regrets have an effect. Its a living, learning, letting go concept.
Lyrics
Arrival of Me You dont have to convince me you were right just to save some face cause ive seen the pressures that are dealt in that place. You didnt have to leave me when i arrived just to prove a point, cause mistakes are better left alone and untouched. Cause when you fell i caught you, it was the first day that i caught your name. So let's forgive each other, and we just might recover. And let me try to make it through, these things i cant undo. Let go of the past and look forward to the future. It got too slow way too fast. Forget about your past. I was always told not to look ahead or dwell on what's to come cause i wont be there to tell you when your time is up. So were you really in love? Or was it just the idea of it?
