Story behind the song
The Pentlands are hills to the south of Edinburgh, which were snow-capped and shining bright on a clear, crisp day in Decemember last year; and so I wrote this song. The main melody is carried by a Korg Electribe; usually employed for techno basslines, but used carefully has a wonderfully expressive quality.
