Acoustic rock and folk rock with country, blues, and American Songbook influences.
Formerly "Dr. C and the Stratocats," I'm now on a solo career as "Dr. C," but I had to change my stage name here because someone else had already claimed it. My music strives for melody above all else; I strive to make my songs memorable, so you can whistle a tune immediately. I see melody as the element most lacking in contemporaryr music. I love Sinatra and the Beatles, Gordon Lightfoot, Paul Simon, anyone who can write a memorable "tune."

Story behind the song
The internet age guarantees nearly everyone 15 minutes of fame. This song mocks the individual view of the narcissist in our time.
Lyrics
HYMN TO NARCISSISM (YOU’RE SO SUBLIME) Everyone thinks they're something special, everyone wants to be a star riding in a golden Continental with a custom bar. Climb up to the highest penthouse, stare out far and wide; you won't find a dwelling higher than the tower of human pride, 'cause chorus: Everybody's better in the image of their mind, starring in a video of their prime, waiting in the shadows for the big punch line, right on time--you're so sublime. Presidents and prime ministers, senators and starlets, too, all want to see their faces on TV- the only thrill that's true. Everyone wants their fifteen minutes of undeniable fame, whether they blow away a McDonalds or appear on The Dating Game. chorus You will always be the center of your universe, and all the spontaneous moves you treasure are just moves that you've rehearsed. Every time you hear of tragedy often your only thought is how it will affect your majesty and can you hold on to what you've got. chorus
