Story behind the song
I started to love the blues while lifing in the San Francisco Bay Area and frequented a place called The Sweetwater. I couldn't find a blues song that was right for me at the time though and one night, was upset about how a guy had treated me and this one popped out in about 20 minutes. It gets a HUGE amount of applause every time I do it too because the guys and the girls hear different things...and it's got a ton of chutzpa. Martha White wanted to cut it too in New Orleans but I didn't know anything about publishing at the time and told her no. Of course now I know I should have said of course! POint being, it's a great song, classic blues in nature.
