Acoustic rock and folk rock with country, blues, and American Songbook influences.
Formerly "Dr. C and the Stratocats," I'm now on a solo career as "Dr. C," but I had to change my stage name here because someone else had already claimed it. My music strives for melody above all else; I strive to make my songs memorable, so you can whistle a tune immediately. I see melody as the element most lacking in contemporaryr music. I love Sinatra and the Beatles, Gordon Lightfoot, Paul Simon, anyone who can write a memorable "tune."

Story behind the song
As we approached the cliffs of Pt. Cabrillo in Mendocino, my wife cheerily said, "Hello Ocean." And so the song began.
Lyrics
Hello Ocean Hello ocean, your blue majesty Hello ocean, great blue god to me With your waves high on the rocks And your tides destroying docks Your currents span the globe from pole to pole Hello ocean, your blue majesty Hello ocean, great blue god to me Roll, ocean, roll Roar, ocean roar Come, ocean break down Our deepest door With your moon-pulled fist in amethyst At twilight on the shore Hello ocean, your blue majesty Hello ocean, great blue god to me With your the thunder of your swells And the lightning of your squalls You hold the life of sailors in your hand Hello ocean, your blue majesty Hello ocean, great blue god to me Roll, ocean, roll Roar, ocean roar Come, ocean cleanse All that we know With your moon-pulled fist in amethyst At twilight on the shore Hello ocean, your blue majesty Hello ocean, great blue god to me

Good song, obvious home production, but that gives it a quaint charm.
