Electronica with a little bit of everything else thrown in.
My older work is mostly MIDI based, 99% composed with a mouse by clicking notes onto a digital score. My newer work is more mixed-media, including both fairly standard MIDI work as well as recorded sections from acoustic and electric instruments.

Story behind the song
I had a lot of fun writing this, even if the title stinks. ~10 hours of coding before any sound was made. ~8 hours of fiddling with the bassline & associated code. ~10 hours of standard compositional work in a sequencer and with my guitar. So, all in all, around 28 hours of work spread over a few days. That gives me around 4hrs per minute of music...whereas I can usually churn out one minute every 1-2 work hours with normal composing. Algorithmic composition is not for the impatient! The bassline was developed from an interval closure algorithm that operates on lists. I coded the algorithm in Haskell using the Haskore MIDI package and the microtone library I wrote and demoed in "Haloform Reaction."
