The song is the thoughts of a man like me, listening to the radio on his way to work, perhaps feeling like not going, and hearing the day's news.

Story behind the song
What is it about western society? Most people living in a western country have a reasonably comfortable live despite any relative privation or disadvantage. This cannot be said of people living in some other parts of the world.
Lyrics
I get up at seven I shower and I dress, Put on a wool suit, cotton shirt and silk tie. I get in my car And I drive I have the radio on And get the day’s news: Fifteen dead in a riot over bread And it makes me think that a comfortable, white, middle class, middle aged guy has no right to sing the blues.

Just my cup of tea! I nearly didn't listen to this because the title said "blues"... This is Accoustic spendour! Vocals are sublime! That guitar is full of feeling! The chord progression is superb! Awesome Song! Peace T(Osckilo)
