I've been a musician since 2002. I play a variety of instruments. I enjoy all kinds of music I've been exposed too. I play and write in various styles.
Story behind the song
I was looking through my pockets in various articles of clothing to find a missing item. I began finding things I didn't realize I had and this song came to me.
Lyrics
Intro
L: You ready go man
A: Yeah, you’ve got your keys?
L: Uh, yeah…wait, where are they (searches)
A: Check your pockets
L: Yeah, yeah. What’s this? A CD? I wonder what’s on it. Do you mind?
A: No [Garry Busy] Go ahead man, put it in there.
L: Ok [put CD in]

(Do it Live!)
My pockets are like the lost land of Atlantis
Artifacts sunk in an ocean of cotton and panflits.
I was looking in my coat from my best friend’s dad
I found many things I didn’t know I had:
A pen, a pencil, a piece of paper, a nuclear missile (throw that piece of crap away)
A nose ring, a car, a condom, a trip to Mars.
My pockets contain a world of lost treasures
Ancient knowledge, and guilty pleasures (well there’s nothing guilty about it)
I was looking in my coat from the good will (yeah, you were)
From it…a forgotten world began to spill:
A laser, a gun, a strange can, and a whole lot of fun
A diamond, a shoe, a picture of me naked, and Winnie the pooh
(I was a baby alright guys, not a grown naked man)
AHHH!!!
(Would you) Reach into my pockets into uncharted lands
Please take care not to hurt your hand.
My pockets contain many twists and turns
If you have yet to learn then (watch the tram car please)
The pockets of my pants may put you in a trance
When I reach inside, people suddenly start to dance.
In my jeans I had magic, but my friends were in doubt
I put my hand inside you want believe what I pulled out:
A basket (I’ve never seen that), the moon, a tisket a tasket, a gold spoon
(there is no spoon)
The pockets of my shirts are full of surprises too.
A man tried to rob me and spontaneously caught the flu.
I was at a concert and I needed a cough drop
I reached into my shirt and from the pocket they popped out:
A telescope, a frying pan, my I.D., a loud woman (you tell her to shut up)
A baseball, a mug, a dragon, kisses and hugs.
You know how it is…
My Pockets
End
L: Up! There they are
A: Gott’em
L: Yeah
A: Alright, wanna get going
L: Yeah [get coat, pause] Man that’s so true. I never know what I’ll fin in my pocket [open door].
A: You remember I told you about my first girlfriend?
L: mhmm
A: I found her in my pocket.
L: What?
A: Yeah, I know.
L: How did that happen?
A: It [fade into hallway…It was interesting [close door]
