Story behind the song

Long after the pair-bond underlying my marriage had disolved, but during that hell when I was struggling to keep the family sort of stable (my kids mom was falling into alcoholism) I became romatically involved with a lovely, kind-hearted woman who though I seemed okay. How little did she actually know. REB condenses 18 months of bliss down to 8 minutes of black comedy.

She is also referenced in the first verse of "King of the Martyrs"
