Lake Fork Verne and his banjo. Original country and Americana songs. Songs of yesteryear, growing up during the great depression 1930's and the way things are
Just me and my banjo...writing and singing about how things used to be long ago in the 30;s and 40's and how those experiences affect today. I started out wanting to get on record these stories and songs for my grandchildren; but after doing it for a while, others have expresses interest so we are recording and putting them out there.

Lyrics
Blues Lyrics - Blind Arthur Blake Police Dog Blues by Blind Arthur Blake recording of probably 1926-1932 from Ragtime Guitar's Foremost Fingerpicker (Yazoo 1068) E A All my life I've been a travelin' man E All my life I've been a travelin' man B7 E Stayin' alone and doin' the best I can A I shipped my trunk down to Tennessee E I shipped my trunk down to Tennessee B7 E Hard to tell about a man like me A I met a gal, I couldn't get her off my mind E I met a gal, I couldn't get her off my mind B7 E She passed me up, said she didn't like my kind A I'm scared to bother around her house at night E I'm scared to bother around her house at night B7 E She got a police dog cravin' for a fight A His name is Rambler, when he gets a chance E His name is Rambler, when he gets a chance B7 E He leaves his mark on everybody's pants A Guess I'll travel, I guess I'll let her be E Guess I'll travel, I guess I'll let her be B7 Before she sicks E her police dog on me
