A sad/moody song which contains some of the best music I have written. Laden with beautiful chords, the harmonies are complex with hardly any plain chords, yet the song is touching and I am very proud of this.

An acoustic artist, vocal and piano music, soaring melody lines and linking chords. Music is meant to be beautiful- I hope I'm getting there!
Hi, David Sims, 17, from Bedfordshire in England. I have been writing music since I was 13. I was in a band once but work on my own stuff solely these days. Play trombone, piano, guitar and cornet and sing on my own tracks.

Story behind the song
I stumbled on the chords at some point in November 2008 (can't remember exactly when) and for a while, this had no melody. I think the song 'High Rising' by Suede was a big influence on me at the time. The lyrics were knocked off before school one morning in December. They have a certain quality to them which I think compliments the music.
Lyrics
We come to the sci-fi lullabies Which echo round the scene And thats when I close my eyes and she leaves We wake up each day to find the spray Silently over the sea And when winter comes I'll be free If all of this was yours then what could I take? It's just a stake in nowhere The windows stay closed at your abode I can't find a way in So as the moon sleeps tight, we'll sleep in sin If I ever answered all you prayers In your lair tonight
