Everything that we drop off our lives.. the sacrifices we have to take, will soon be insignificant compared to the joy we will have in the end. The more we let go, the lighter we can run towards our destiny. And though we can't put a date as to when

Story behind the song
The inspiration to write this was when I was doing a roadshow for AIA. Frankly, I hated the job and the only reason for me to stay on, was so that I could learn some skills that would be beneficial for my business. So, we had to stand, smile, and talk to people for hours on end. Alot of what we said fell on deaf ears... or rather, people who chose to be deaf. I then realised that our walk as christians are like that too. We want to strive towards holiness and loving God, but the road is tough. We fall. Also because we are not perfect, what we say or do gets misinterpreted. But we need to continue to carry our cross daily. For our prize is certain, and we might just receive it sooner than we expect.
Lyrics
Falling Closer (13/1/09) Verse 1: Blistered and aching These feet are tired from walking Just talking to the wind Dries up the sweetness in the tongue The time is ticking and I’m Thinking that I should give it up The sky is getting dark... But what, Pre-Chorus: If the light and I nearly coincide Stars don’t lie, I’ll see them when the clouds go by If now I die, wont it just makes it all A wasted sacrifice Chorus: Every day, all I’ve lost Sooner or later It’s nothing much Everything, that I’ve dropped Draws me closer To where I belong Verse 2: Losing my focus The curses stacking on my back I let it soak in just Distracting from my purpose Dragging feet, feeling sore Can’t see much further anymore A flame's all I’ve got... But what, Bridge: What's a mountain, when there's no valley? How do we walk if we don't fall initially Falling inappropriately, This you won't have to worry After all it never lasts...
