acoustic folk rock
Dave Stannard plays the acoustic guitar and sings, by himself, all on his own. While he sings and plays, he also dances around a lot and is good fun to watch. He calls this "a performance"; most people agree. His songs are actually written by him, and not others, usually. Sometimes the songs turn out quite catchy and people sing them in the bath or play them on local radio shows.

Lyrics
Kettle curving through the airspace of the kitchenette-diner Nearly reaching escape velocity. Provides a designer eyeliner Dodging dishes as the crockery pays to play the last night on the Somme Fence utensils with the video, while I try to figure out what I’ve done wrong Do you believe in flying saucers? Believe in the devil’s daughter? I do, I saw it in her with-a-passion Sitting pretty, smashing She trains to be big in psychology (and ufology, or so it appears) I don’t understand ‘The Pavlovian Man’, but I’m coming round with unusual ideas Triple tempting, double dangerous, worth every penny I spend on repairs Every step is like Russian roulette, we get five hours in bed for each trip down the stairs …pretty smashing super, lovely, brilliant fight we had last night, top flight The moonlight seemed to set off the bombardment Sergeant majorette, smashing her way into favour At the first sound of rattling of sabers Ears to the wall, it’s the neighbours Listening in, they tap the din, gathering gossip for bridge club Here’s the rub, when you landed the belter It sent the Andersens scrabbling for shelter Thanks for catching the show Make sure that you tune in tomorrow When you live down our road you don’t miss episodes Of our ballistic domestic life We’re close as a razor with triple-blade action Sharp as a blazer by Yves-St-Laurant Clearly we’re merely just seeking attention Does anyone mind if we set off a bomb?
