Story behind the song
I wrote this on the Passover of 2006. I was thinking about how God's Son was a Passover sacrifice. I sat down at my sister's piano and I could picture the crucifixion and the drops of blood that resulted from that. I began to play and cry and see it from the Father's point of view "Drops of blood, when I see the blood of my precious Son I'll pass over you." In my mind's eye I saw a cascade of blood pour from the cross, and I interpreted it to the piano. It took me 10 minutes to write this powerfully anointed song.
