Story behind the song
This is my final assignment for my Producing with Reason course with Berkleemusic.com It started off as a groove in the style of Thievery Corporation (first 4 bars). I came up with the vocoder hook melody while running 3 miles, and the lyrics just kind of fell into place once I got back to the car. Kind of a weird, dark song - not sure where it came from. The arrangement kind of took on a life of its own after that.
Lyrics
Refrain I've got no secrets. There's nothing you should know. When I walk down the street, you're seeing all of me. There's nothing more to tell; my mind's an empty shell. Sometimes I'll disappear, but don't you have no fear. I'll be back soon again - for you my friend. No secrets...there's nothing you should know (Refrain) Refrain 2 I've got a secret. I'm dangerous you'll know. Now I've got you in my sights so true. There's no escaping my betrayal of you. (Refrain2)
