Hello everyone welcome to my music! I am a native Ohioian born and raised, My music is plain and simple country folk some rock style with an easy beat and christian message. I play the 6 string acoustic guitar (Takamine) and sometimes a Les Paul. All the songs are done in my home studio and the sound quality although not professional, is enough to get the message out. I write songs that come from my heart and speak to your soul. If you like songs that bring out emotions then your at the right place. Check out my songs and let me know what you think.

Story behind the song
I love this country and I'm proud to be an American. That's what this song is about.
Lyrics
That’s Who I Am ( intro verse ) I ran into an old friend just the other day. I poured out my burdens said I lost my job today. This country’s in a mess not sure what I’ll do, Might lose my house but how are things with you? ( verse ) He said it takes very little to put a smile on my face, To well up my eyes or move my heart out of pace. There is comfort in knowing my family is fed. I’m happy and grateful for the roof on my head. (chorus) I’m a simple Ohio raised God fearing man. I believe in my country, that’s who I am. I respect all my neighbors and I’ll lend them a hand. Ask and I’ll be there, that’s who I am. ( verse ) I never fought for my country like so many did, But I’ll never forget why their blood was shed. I cherish my freedom to live in this land, Without expectations of wealth from the MAN. ( bridge) When I hear people saying “this country’s no good”, I want to shake them and tell them there’s much that needs done. We could help out each other instead of living for one. There may be some problems but we’ll overcome. Cause we’re Americans’ we don’t run from a fight. We’re Americans’ time to do what is right. Time to help out each other instead of living for one. ( verse ) Why must so many suffer when ONE climbs the hill? As we step on our brothers, it’s their dreams we kill. When we lift up each other and give them a hand, Together we share in the fruits of this land. (chorus) I’m a simple Ohio raised God fearing man. I believe in my country, that’s who I am. I respect all my neighbors and I’ll lend them a hand. Ask and I’ll be there, that’s who I am. Ask and I’ll be there, that’s who I am. ©2008 Karl Hecky
