Story behind the song
This song started out with just a title and a melody for the first verse line. I borrowed the first few notes of the first verse line from "O Little Town Of Bethlehem", to give the song a 'Christmas Feel'. Anyway, getting back to the story, after putting lyrics to the song, I found I wrote the song way above my vocal range...Kim, my wife, said she'd do the vocals for it and they turned out very good... The recording was done back in 2008 and is pretty rough. Needs to be updated and replayed...etc. At the present time the sounds heard are a Washburn J3 Jazz Guitar playing the background chords and the lead run into an old Epiphone Superba amplifier...The bass is an Ibanez 4 string, and the drums are Roland digital drums...All vocals are by my wonderful and magnificent wife Kim Richardson (famous MySpace Karaoke singer)....It's a rough mix, but hopefully we'll be prepared for NEXT YEAR...Have a great Holiday Season...Thanks, Richard
