A winter love song...We kissed against the broken fence - Without a thought of consequence... In a Christmas carol scene.
Story behind the song
A Beautiful Romance .....a snapshot of a wonderful hour.

Crocuses
Words & Music Sue Bargh 2008
1)
I took photographs of crocuses
To keep for souvenirs
My boots were wet with dirt and ice
Hat pulled round my ears
You brushed the hair back off my face
And said the snow flakes looked like lace
We took the gloves off from our hands
So we could feel the snowflakes land
2)
And they fell like tiny kisses with
A million soft white lips
They settled on your eyelashes
And on my finger tips
I photographed a snow plough
And we ate snow ice cream
We thought we were in heaven then
In a Christmas carol scene
And we thought we were in heaven then
In a Christmas carol scene
3)
The trees looked magic dressed in frost
With silver sparkling fairy dust
We talked of how the seasons change
Took photographs to show again
We kissed against the broken fence
Without a thought of consequence
And from the field the birds took flight
The moon came out, and shone snow white
And from the field the birds took flight
The moon came out, and shone snow white
4)
Now my photographs of crocuses
Are in this crocus tune
They are distant as the Northern Lights
And our snowy Christmas moon
But every year I watch them grow
And hope my darling you still know
How I loved you when you kissed my face
And said the snow flakes looked like lace
How I loved you when you kissed my face
And said the snow flakes looked like lace
Lovely stuff Sue - voice and guitar come across really well. I'll add your page and get round to the rest... like your artwork too.
