This is where it all began, moved to a new world at age 10 and had no idea how to adapt to that strange place.
SorExistence is a combination of Acoustic Rock, Emo, and Pop Rock. It all depends on the song. This Band reaches out to all the lonely and heart broken people
SorExistence is a One-Man-Band! The musician is Michael Moellers, currently a Kirkwood Community College student working towards a film degree and during his free time he spends it on his computer creating music, writing poetry, filming music videos, and much much more. He uses the computer generated drums to to give the music it's heart beat, while his electric guitar gives life to the tone and his unique vocals completes the deep emotional feelings that can't help but pick the lock to a person's heart. The words of each song are the most important to Michael. Most songs may seem like they mean what they say, but it's actually the underlining meaning that you have to find in order to truly understand the meaning to the songs. Every song he's ever made relates to him in some way shape or form. Like the song "My New World" from the new album "The Life Cycle of a Lonely Citizen" is about him when he was 10 and moved to a new state where he was forced to leave behind all his friends and start a new life. The main genre is rock but at times it's hard to tell the specific sub genre.
Story behind the song
This is the first stage of The Life Cycle of a Lonely Citizen, to sum up it's the stage where the lonely citizen first becomes lonely. For this song it's through moving to a new house that is in a very different place. He had lots of friends and was finally getting the hang of the school he was going to, and then he moved to a new state and became lonely for he lost all his friends and the new place was completely different. The lonely citizen doesn't know that they are lonely because they suppress the feeling in order to protect themselves.
Lyrics
I keep going back in my head,
Back to growing up as a kid,
Putting myself back in my shoes,
When I found out about the move.
A frozen feelin' in my bones,
Acid about to over flow,
I swallowed hard with all my pride,
Moved on while ignoring my life.
I said all my final good-byes,
To my friends and beyond my eyes,
Then I left this world behind,
And a new one I did find.
Still adapting day by day,
all alone in this strange place,
To forget my past without help,
Is my way to protect myself.
A cartoon smile on my face,
To cover the truth to my pain,
Sweet after sweet to fill this hole,
That resides six feet below.
Soaked up tears and hidden lies,
Come out in the dead of night,
Can no longer remember why,
Forgot my past and my life.
Just pushing forward on nothing,
Hoping it will lead to something,
All I can do is hope and pray,
That I will see a better day.
Still adapting day by day,
All alone in this strange place,
To forget my past without help,
Is my way to protect myself.
It all started when I was 10,
That's when it all came to an end,
The happiness I once knew,
Moved away and left me a fool.
Created a false happiness,
While hiding beyond darkness,
Holding on to what little pride,
That still submerged from time to time.
A little behind in this race,
But don't want to come in last place,
Run to an unknown finish line,
Before I run out of time.
Still adapting day by day,
All alone in this strange place,
To forget my past without help,
Is my way to protect myself.
