ASIH is Constantine Nakassis in collaboration with one or more of the following musicians: Tamara Black (Jenhitt), Alex Hedstrom, Lucas Carscadden (Charlie Brown Gets a Valentine), Justin Moyer (Supersystem/El Guapo, Edie Sedgwick, Antelope), Andrew Black (the Explosion), F. Lemming, Judith Kaplan, Pavan Segal, Julie Cousin, Kyung-Nan Koh. ASIH started out in 1998 with Costas, a delay pedal, a keyboard, and a 4 track. It eventually grew to include writing with other people as well as better technology. ASIH, from the outset, was not organized for live performance. It was always about recording. With the release of two full-length albums on Honest In Secret, and a split CD on Wyndel records, ASIH started doing live shows. The live representation has been a shifting cast: T. Black, L. Carscadden, A. Black, A. Hedstrom, J. Moyer, Jon Moser (CBGaV), M. Mikowicz, Phil Apostol (Up Up Down Down Left Right Left Right BA Start), Magda Nakassis. The 3rd album, 'Peripheries of Hollywood' is out on Honest in Secret records. Check out astudyinher.com for more info. Lyrics
ten times too far, lie down to forget, don't you think you've been waiting around long enough? the left side of the map, the wrong side of the relationship; can't sleep around it, can't replace those shaky months; patterns of mastery, tones on tape for us to read into, everyday rights and wrongs; prose and painful things to tear, prose and pedestrian, everyday routines. don't try to sleep it away with everyday routines
