He cleared a lane for himself at the turn of the millennium. honing his production skills with fellow classmate “Silence Of (Midnite Records)” before working with independent production powerhouse Urban Kings Ent. His career took a sudden turn for the better when he sang the hook for “See You Smile”, a mid-tempo hip-hop / R&B cut. It had the internet going haywire. Within minutes of posting it for sale on www.soundclick.com. the calls and emails started pouring in. Mostly everyone had the same question: “Who is that singing the hook?” Since then he has become the 1 go to guy in his hometown of Bakersfield,Ca for hooks & beats. Besides the fact that he writes (all) and produces (most of) his own material, JKeyez's pursuit of perfection and humble mentality are rare in today’s superficial music scene. He rises before the sun daily to Write, Make Beats, rehearse vocals and piano before rushing off to class. By late afternoon he’s back in the lab; where he usually spends the rest of his day, unless duty calls. Staying Lyricly fit helps him to maintain his focus, while drawing inspiration to keep his dream alive from legends like, Babyface, R. Kelly & BoneThugs. His, yet untitled, debut sounds more like it was derived from divine inspiration.
