punk rock power pop garage rock n roll louisiana baton rouge melters
Artist picture
Melters are a three-piece rock 'n' roll band from Baton Rouge, LA. They combine a little bit of early punk, power-pop, and British invasion stuff, to form somet
Formed while the original members were still in junior high, the Melters have never lost their childlike charm, and their desire to abuse the listener and play with one's patience. When they finally felt good enough to start performing live, they began terrorizing the South with their clumsy and energetic performances. They leave their audiences confused, angry, laughing, yet refreshed and wanting more beer and possibly some sedatives. The Josh White on drums, M. Martin on bass guitar, and taking care of guitar and lead vocals, Nameless. The Melters' debut album title, "Neato," silly and to-the-point, perfectly suits what you will hear: short, sloppy, sparkling pop songs, all played with speed-of-light intensity and rabid hyperactive enthusiasm, and topped with what's severely lacking in rock 'n' roll these days: a sense of humor... and violence! Can't forget violence! Oh, there's some... there's some. Neato is available at CDBaby and on iTunes.

Lyrics
You and me, we are not one whole entity / I don't see truth in what you feel / Please don't come when you're crying / You're gonna up and stay with me / Always feeling like we're foes / When I always pray for life inside Chorus: Baby, that's not fun / Wait a minute / Wanted you to run / Run up in it / Baby, that's not fun / Wait a minute / Maybe you will see / Thought that you would hide / Hide and wait it / Hiding from a lie / I been waiting / Baby, that's not fun / Wait a minute / Maybe you will see Count on me to always buffer conflicts / We always draw ourselves from seas we've been drowning in slowly / I'm fucking up the path for you / You'll always have to do the math, I know / We're gonna have to give this up sometime
