Story behind the song
Mikhail Yuryevich Lermontov My Home My home is everywhere, where heavens vault is, Where the sound of song is heard, A spark of life is in everything which lives there, But for the poet it is limitless. Its roof reaches up to the stars, And from one wall to another The far path is measured By the heart, and not by sight. There is a feeling of truth in the heart of man, A grain of sacred eternity: In boundless space, the flow of the centuries Is embraced in a brief instant. For these feelings the allmighty Created this beautiful home, And though fated to long suffer there, It is there I will come to my rest. 1830 (Composer's translation) If you are interested in obtaining the sheet music, or an audio MP3 file, please contact me at adhikapokoya@gmail.com
