Story behind the song
One of the songs I used to play in my first band back in the early 80's was originally a collaboration between two of the band members, Ozzie Mercado & Darryl Velez, who had written this song which comprised of two verses, a pre-chorus and a repeating chorus. That's it. After a few months, I decided this song needed more words, so I added two new verses and a music break, and it made the song fuller and completed the "story". Darryl used to be the vocalist on this one, but when he left the band, Ozzie took over on vocals. With the addition of new members and songs, this one was for some reason dropped from the reportoire and this is the first time anyone is hearing it again since 1983! This version surely sounds a lot better than it did back in '82-'83, lol.
