Where My Father Leads Me
Capo: 2nd fret.
I remember getting mad
when I was just a child.
When dad would say to take out the trash,
or not to act so wild.
Now as I get older
it getting easier to see
that everything my father did
was just because he loves me.
Chorus:
So where my father leads me
I will always go,
because I believe he
has always known.
The right path for me to take
and choices that I should make.
My trust will always be
where my father leads me.
Verse 2:
I know I'm responsible
for some of dad's gray hair.
I've never been the perfect son
and sometimes I didn't care.
I always put up a fight
and did things my own way.
But I found out that dad was right
at the end of the day.
Repeat Chorus.
Verse 3:
Sometimes the pain in life
gets so rough,
and I look to the father
who looks down from above.
and though I don't understand
why things have to be this way.
I kneel down and bow my head
and I began to pray.
Repeat Chorus.
End
