Lyrics
Blues For One Once I was a wealthy man....with nothin' in my way....... I could take your dollar bills, and spoil your Holiday..... I was such a well-heeled man, I left the world behind... And turned my back on all Mankind....... ------------------------------------------------------------------ Once I was a wanted man, loved by all you see.... Now I walk the nightly floor, with no one loving me... Shamed myself for what I'd done, with noone else to blame Now I'm in the Hall of Fame....... ---------------------------------------------------------------- Once I was a common man, I worked what I could steal. Went to Church on Sunday's, for coffee and a meal. Many things are haunting me, including a wife and child. And that, for me, is not my style. ----------------------------------------------------------- Once I was so destitute, with no ability. Homeless was my Daily Bread, dunked in misery. Now every place I'd go, I'd say a humble prayer. I'd like to think there's Love somewhere. I'd like to think there's Love somewhere.
