A beautiful song that came as the result of a real life tragedy. Love and triumph are celebrated with a vision of hope and that the effects of love are long lasting and eternal.

CALL YOUR LOCAL RADIO STATION AND REQUEST THAT THEY PLAY THIS SONG! Music has always been a vital part of the lives of TROV members. Band involvement started in high school and continues to today. In the 1980's, Darcy and Tom Troville co wrote many songs that were recorded and performed by the original TROV band that began in Massachusetts from the retro band " Feedback" .The song," Grandpas and Little Boys" is starting to get national exposure because of the story from which it derived. The song has been played on several tv shows and radio stations in the midwest and New England. The band recorded the song in Londonderry, New Hampshire at West Sound and Video. Although this song is not typical of what bands are putting out right now, it's melodic orchestration and simple but powerful words tell a story that needs to be presented. The band made a serious decision to do something good and help the family of Robert Parsons in their endeavor to memorialize their deceased infant grandson and do something positive for the public at large. The family transferred their grief into action and the band supported them..

Story behind the song
The murder and death of 7 month old Tyler Shanabarger by his father on Fathers Day 1999. The funeral was normal and no one knew until that night when the father confessed to his wife Amy that Tyler was murdered in a bizarre revenge plot. The story was so bizarre and the motive and premeditation years in advance, that it captured worldwide attention. News, radio and TV from everywhere decended and as a result, an obscure little song, and the memory of a little baby were pushed into the mainstream of society. The poem was written by Grandfather Robert Parsons as a result of his mourning, and attempt to not have Tyler forgotten. The poem was read as part of the funeral service. After it was revealed that the baby had been murdered, Darcy Troville, close friend of Bob's and officiant at the service collaborated with Bob and placed the poem to music after several revisions. It was done to not only remember Tyler, but also to help raise money and awareness of child abuse.
