Rock, pop, country and contemporary Christian is my current aim, though my style can range from soft ballads to heavy metal.
Brief history: I've been writing songs since 1978, spanning various genres. Most tend to fall into the pop/adult contemporary category. For the past several years, I've turned my focus more to Contemporary Christian music; it's what I enjoy listening to, and it gives my music some real meaning and purpose ... at least to me ... and hopefully to those who listen to it. Looking back now, I see religious connotations in some of my older material, as well.

Lyrics
I grew up in a small town by old Rock Bottom creek Red-mud roads and croaking toads and tadpoles at my feet Well, I never saw the city, but my visions were so grand A whole new world with pretty girls and honky tonkin’ bands So, I packed up my belongings and my old flat-top guitar At twenty-one, I was on the run; I thought I’d made it far But I ran into some trouble; the Apple took a bite My money gone, I was missing home, and all in just one night CHORUS: And now I’ve hit rock bottom Oh, carry me to my home Because I miss Rock Bottom, yeah I know where I belong New York ain’t my home Well, I got to know the city; I hooked up with a band Neon lights and bar room fights and lots of one-night stands We made it to the big time; it took me by surprise He said, ‘Here, just sign the bottom line, and to the top you’ll rise’ And then everything came easy – the women and the booze Drinks became a betting game with everything to lose I played it once too often, and wound up on the street The band was gone, and I was on my own; the city had me beat [CHORUS] So, I packed up my belongings and my old flat-top guitar At twenty-one, I was headed home; Rock Bottom seemed so far It seemed so far CHORUS II: And now I’ve hit rock bottom Oh, take me back to my home Because I miss Rock Bottom, yeah I know where I belong New York ain’t my home Rock Bottom, oh, now I’m coming home Now I’m in Rock Bottom, yeah I know where I belong I know where I belong I know where I belong Rock Bottom is my home
