Contemporary Christian Band consisting of Frank Johnson: bass, guitar, and vocals; Jay McElveen: vocals, rhythm and lead guitar.
Story behind the song
After years of playing games with God, I finally decided to seek His guidance for my life's direction. Frank Johnson, the other half of The King's Highway, also contributed on this song with backup vocals and bass guitar. Frank is also a co-writer with me on many of our newer songs. A special thanks for his hard work and dedication to the band that has kept us going and seen us through some dark times.
Lyrics
CHANGE
I’ve wasted time, so much time. Could’ve made a difference in the lives I left behind.
I want to be finally the man The Lord created me to be.
There’s a Change in Me.
I’m tired of games, bogus claims, and the masquerading with the phoney names.
I want the mind of Christ in me and the Holy Spirit falling fresh and free.
There’s a Change in Me.
From here on out, I’m gonna shout what loving Jesus is really all about.
He touched my life, kindled a flame and I will never, ever be the same.
There’s A Change in Me.
Chorus:
Somewhere along the way, I don’t know where or when
My heart had turned to stone and I turned my back on Him.
Now I’m forgiven and I praise His holy name.
I will forever, but can you say the same?
There’s a Change in Me. A change. There’s A Change in Me. A change.
