Oppression comes in many forms, either cultural derision and diminution, language imposition, reduced economic opportunity. This song is fundamentally about the destruction of indiginous communities through these means.

Story behind the song
This song was written by a friend who has sadly seen years of voicelessness and powerlessness to stop the wholesale destruction of his community. It is not in another country as the song says, but here in the UK where policy makers and economic agents have sown the seeds of the destruction of our beloved communities.
Lyrics
Economic ethnic cleansing Come to wash us all away No it's not in another country It goes on here day by day In my lifetime I have seen it Though it started long before No one round here seems to notice Unadultered ethnic war Something's missing, something's wrong The house is sold the family gone For generations here we used to be Now there's no one left Look outside, a whole race of people Ethnoculturally displaced There is no war crimes tribunal Here to make the guilty pay No outraged intelligencia Out there taking to the streets For they are living in our houses Buying out our hallowed streets Something's missing, something's wrong The house is sold the family gone For generations we used to be here Now theres no one left Something's missing, something's wrong The house is sold the family gone For generations we used to be here Now theres no one left Something's missing, something's wrong The house is sold the family gone For generations we used to be here Now theres no one left
