Lyrics
Got my sights set high, lots of people to see. Lots of money, lots of places to be. Keeping an image so people can’t see I’m a poor man. Driving the best, putting on a show. Living it up, I can’t let it go. Keeping an image so people don’t know, I’m a poor man. Poor in spirit, empty inside, poor in spirit, eyes open wide. Looking for something that may satisfy this poor man. Look in the mirror, what do I see? My aging eyes looking back at me. Do the lines tell the truth? How can it be? I’m a poor man.
