Story behind the song
This is my answer to those who believe in the literal 6-day Creation story in Genesis. I have my own beliefs...I believe in evolution, more or less. Evolution guided by our Creator. The beauty and intricacy behind the myriad processes of our dynamic planet, and especially the complexity of the many processes involved in evolution - is to me truly mind-boggling. And I believe God guides this process...does this make me un-Christian to you? And it's a rock song. Richard Bethell was invaluable - all electric guitars, some vocals, and most definitely, a co-write. Thanks Richard!
Lyrics
Beautiful Creation The universe surrounds us For 14 billion years Your beautiful creation Our endless fascination No six-day wonder No six-day wonder No six-day wonder A million stars are shining on Transfix me in the dark Your beautiful creation The Earth that you created Four thousand million years and more Forever turning Like a clock that don’t need winding No six-day wonder No six-day wonder No need to wonder ‘Cause I have seen the evidence Our planet moving, changing Your beautiful creation Middle eight How can anyone not see The beauty in your mysteries? How can anyone not know The love with which You let it roll? The life that you unfolded Echoing through rock and bone Creation going on Perfecting every moving thing No six-day wonder No six-day wonder No need to wonder Cause we are the evidence Our life, living testament Your beautiful creation Words and music by JMB/Richard Bethell

What a great song. Love the opening acoustic guitar and the rock'n'boogie Piano. The guitar solo is killer and the vocalist sound a bit like old Alce Cooper to me. This all adds up to one amazingly enjoyable song for a 70's bent guy like me. More, More, More! AvMo
Jeff, I do closely follow the discussion going on about your song! See what a success it is, being able to create such a lively discussion. Great. Too bad I don´t feel ready to join in the discussion, because I guess I miss some words in English here on one hand and on the other don´t want to be misunderstood, because I do care to be understood! Thus said I can only say I DIG your point, yes it´s science and belief and the book of books and all works if you have a proper point of view I guess. Great rockin´tune. You are so close to perfect in your special rock´n roll & garage pop style that is amazing. You know I really like your vocal syle, but this song here combined with your great lyrics: Fantastic! Cheers from Frankfurt Andreas

Guys....this is f*** ing great....LOVE IT I'm not a particullar fan of religious based music messages, and I guess I'm not alone. One of the advantages of being of non English Tongue though, is that the lyrics are not the main thang I focus on when listening.....to much fuzz...cause the translation proces and comprehention of what it's all about is too much distracting. Therefore it's the whole of the soundpalette that counts in first place.....It;s all about the music...and in this particullar song that is soooo niceee ! You know what.....don't know if you guys are familiar with Graham Parker & The Rumour....this just has that vibe ! Potent Tight Rock Tune with a British flavour. Right from the accoustic intro it hits....Cool brass....Messy tight rock rythm guitar, boogie stompin piano, The guitar solo sounds very Martin Belmont alike ! That organ comming in at the low down....sounds so clever. The singing is excellent...never heard Jeff Better ! As for the contributions o

I'm not exactly an unbiased reviewer (ahem) but this was brilliant - sheer brilliance! Wordsworthian poetry meets baroque melodic excellence!! Okay, maybe not. More like Charles Darwin and Francis Crick meet the Stones for an audience with the Pope, but what the hey, it was a blast! :)
