Story behind the song
This song has been on the "incomplete" shelf for a while now. All i had for about 5 months was the basic melody and i couldn't seem to find the proper words to fit the song. Then one Thursday evening/early friday morning .. everything just came to me.
Most of the song concentrates on the other side of love... when things start to go wrong. Sometimes, we tend to stay in relationships because we're already comfortable with the situation we're in. Although it may 'appear' to work... why "stay in pain"? ... wouldn't it just be easier for both parties to simply leave..
The song is of course from a guy's point of view, which explains the one-sidedness and anger expressed towards the 'girl in the relationship' in some parts of the song. It gives listeners a behind the "BS" look at what's actually going on inside a guy's mind in situations like this.
All in all, it's a pretty accurate documentation of the many thoughts running through my mind prior to a recent breakup..
