'Pigs might fly' by Ange Hardy
song backgrund...
I'm always being asked how I write my songs, are they started with
lyrics or by humming a tune? Do I know what I'm going to write about
before I start? The answer is always different as each song I write is
inspired in it's own individual way but I always find that the best ones
are the ones written on a whim, when with no contemplation at all i just
pick up and play!
Lyrics
Did you ever see the sight of a pig in flight
'cause his heads all full of air
like the way they say you'll float away
if you don't keep your thoughts clear
Did you ever see the band in cuckoo land
that made it all the way
by living off dreams and
thinking all things will always land in place
Well I ain't no pig and I ain't made it big
but I sure am gonna try
gonna get a rubber boat and learn to float
until the day I fly
When the frog in the throat of the old man croaked
and he went and made it big
he proved to folk that it ain't no joke
to believe in flying pigs
When the chicken had to beg 'cause his wooden leg
made the road to fast and wide
he saved and soon brought a hot air balloon
and flew to the other side
Do you take the word of a friend you've hurt
when she takes you by the hand
forgives your wrongs and says your songs
are the best for miles around
