Story behind the song
Slap bass - and percussion - keyboards and a mean synth lead. Reminds me of the Sanford and Son theme song for some reason. There's a swing in his stride and a style to his dress - call him a throwback or an independent thinker- but Leather Trim Jim has the town in his pocket and an itch for trouble with his wicked deals. His signature white hat with leather trim band gives him his name and his style. A gambler through and through he's tricky and tough but there's always something smooth about him.
