I am playing the stringed bass, piano, guitar, singing , and using past clips from previous recordings I have made over the last forty years including my groups
I have played the piano as long as I can remember . I was singing harmony and playing in Jessup Md. by 1950 in a bar there when I was five . My experiences in my career have been amusing and painful . I do have recordings in the past that may or may not come out in this medium as I am truly unsure about the copywrite laws . I know that I have the rights to my own material to an extent but the fact is that several companies are selling my material online and neither I nor my publishers are seeing any rewards from that much as the "Underground Radio" experience of the sixties till 1975 as BMI or ASCAP didn't log FM play . I have decided not to sell a product here but exibit my own compositions ,playing ,paintings, and past recordings that are acceptable in this context .

Story behind the song
I published and sang this tune in 1967 for the album "Circus Maximus" . It is still available on CD , re-issued in 1998 or so as well as the second album "Neverland Revisited". I recorded this version in 2007 without a vocal . It was the forth version which became a bit looser with the tonality .
Lyrics
It is funny that people have written me over the years with their interpretations of the lyrics . The lyrics were not printed on the album cover though that might have been a nice idea at the time . This was a song that was played lon late night "Underground radio"(FM..haha)along with "Knights in White Satin" , "Hall of the Crimson King" or even ""Stairway to Heaven" for the mood and the quietness of it in comparison to the rest of the format of underground rock FM . This version is all solo improv but retains a mysterious mood . It would be nice to put the original version up for comparison but , again , I don't want to upset the applecart here . The fact is that it is also available on Yahoo and somebody is getting a few pennies for each cut but not Danel Music or me . This is why I have to question what is happening here on the net . While this site might be uder a microscope for copywrite infringement I doubt that whoever has already stolen my material will come with the audacity to sue when they never really had the rights to it in the first place . I am the sole publisher but , ironically , Larwence Welk Music owns the Vanguard catalogue of old albums .
