A one-man-band with all-original material, writing, composing and performing since 2005.
My name is Evan Schafer. I am an independent (or "indie") musician with a strong grounding in traditional composition, but I like to think my material always has a unique and individual flair. I guarantee not being bored out of your gourd when turning on one of the records. I produce, mix, and engineer everything myself, and have done so since late 2005.

Story behind the song
Evan Schafer - drums, acoustic guitar, piano, vocals Writing "Twilight End" was (fortunately) not a difficult task at all. I had these chords centered around a D major chord, which I had been playing on the guitar ad infinitum for years now. Finally, I sat down with those same chords that I had been playing for so long, and some thoughtful and introspective lyrics, and wrote this song. The only downside is that it is close to 8 minutes long (so it's not radio-friendly -- poo!), but I enjoyed having a virtual jam session with myself on the track -- yes, it's true, nothing after the 2:40 mark in the track was rehearsed.
Lyrics
Staring at the wall Going into a trance once more In and out of your thoughts To reach the twilight end Death falls upon you Like a conversation going nowhere Reach everywhere above your mind And get what you've been searching for Heavens up above and lights flashing It's a sign but you're ignoring it Fighting for your right Going into the nighttime again Wink from a little person below From the rocks on the shore, the clouds in the sky Floating away in the twilight end To a distant place far from our wandering minds
