There's something about a sad song that tugs at the heart more than anything else, and this song reminded me of that. When listening to the melody and reading along with the lyrics in front of me, I was surprised by the second verse, but life is always full of surprises, so the song felt very real to me. Very sad but growing sweeter at the end with the child born and the words said again. Very strong penning.

To My Dear Friend Dawn, This song is beautiful... very touching lyrics with a subtle but sweet melody.. I have to say that you're wearing your heart on your sleeve my friend. It shows in every image you project within the two songs you posted. I hurt for you and feel much empathy towards what you're feeling. Can't say why,, just do! Though your songs are wonderfully done and fantastically written,, I sense a deep yet passionate feeling of sadness within you just by what I've heard.
