This is really well-written, and I like how the last line of every verse continued to change little by little to tell the complete story. The locket being heavy in your hand was a great line as it brought that "sinking heart" feeling that most have been familiar with at some point or another. Great writing...very pretty melody, as well, especially in the bridge. Vocals sound great, as always.

Dear Dawn, I'm so glad to finally hear from you and that you're OK. I really do miss those folks, like yourself, when you're off and busy with lifes journey. You could say that I truly enjoy the person you are within though we've never met before and probably never will. I'm just one of those who care about my friends and all that they're going through. As for the song,,, BEAUTIFUL! As if you lived the lyrics in my mind.. Melody and structure is excellent and you sing it superbly.
