larry lauer reckless rode
Larry Lauer
I've been dabbling in songwriting for about 25 years, ever since I started playing in a band. In the past few years I've gotten a little more serious about it and I enjoy the the idea of creating something from my experiences. Whether personal or from an external source, I like to see my thoughts go from paper to a recorded product. I've been having a lot of fun trying to produce my own music. I'm not into performing my own music so much anymore, but I would like to see it get out there for others to hear.

Lyrics
(chorus) Mountain air, starry nights Pickup trucks and Harley bikes Come on in, there's still some room In the Shootin' Star Saloon (verse) John there at the bar still draws the folks He talks about the old days while he smokes The stories of his bull rides don't get old The buckle on his belt, and his heart are made of gold. (repeat chorus) (verse) Carol's there on weekends serving beers Isn't quite as young as she appears No one's got to first base with her yet A piece of Carol's mind is all they ever get (repeat chorus) (bridge) People comin' early, stayin' 'til it's late Food is nothin' special, but he mood is really great (repeat chorus twice) (tag) Closin' always seems to come too soon On Saturday night at the Shootin' Star Saloon
