Story behind the song
When I began re-concentrating on my solo acoustic artistry in 2004 or so, I was told that I should attend the Rose Room Revue Open Mike, and that "...they'd love you there!..." so I went and found myself, as always outside the clique that was getting the gigs. of course, having been down that road I resoved to vcontinue attending until such time as I proved my worth...during the year and a half it took before the retard who runs the thing booked me in as a feature, I got to see lots several other rose revue n00bs - who played the usual easy strummin' folky stuff favored by the host, who would often refer to said performers as "monsters" - pass me by and get features, which of couse compounded both my despair, and frustration...one night, driving away from the place, this tune popped out of my head.
