Story behind the song
Evan Schafer - acoustic guitar, radio, effects Another instrumental from Evan. I enjoyed writing this song, because it allowed a release of some very intense and personal feelings I was having at the time. This song had two completely unrelated pieces clashing together, but for some reason I knew they fit together in a strange way. So I recorded the *pretty* part in a very rough fashion, focusing more on the backwards guitar section leading into the acoustic-funky outro. The recording I am still somewhat ashamed of, however, because it is not perfect. I suppose nothing in life can be, but then again, the imperfectness adds a special glimmer to the beautiful melody lying just on the surface. Also, the radio sounds at the beginning were a last-minute decision. I have this multi-colored fish radio with suction cups that are supposed to attach to a shower wall -- they were popular at the beginning of the 2000s. I practically ripped it off the shower wall and rushed down to my microphones to record just this random junk -- I love it!
