Story behind the song
The song is about how many people think they need to search or go places to find themselves, but everything you need to know is right where you are at. Books on self help are a contradiction in terms. You are the only one that can help yourself

Did you ever wake up and feel the world was bringing you down? What you once envisioned, ain't like what you've found? No one can tell you what it's all about. You just pick a road to ride ona and you ride it out. Everybody sometimes feel the days go by. And the world keeps turning a long time after you die. Where the highway takes you, you can never really know. Just lift another gear and you head on down that road. Break: Another cross roads up ahead, ain't no highway signs. Should I turn, I don't know, maybe head on down the line. Nothing says you can't turn back, but that's a waste of time. Guess what I have to do is just make up my mind, and doi in time, to get me home. So now you've made through another day. Crash out now or ride all night, you know its all the same. 'Cause where you'll be tomorrow is where you are today. And where you'll be come next year is the same as yesterday
