Founded in May, 2000 by the two members, Dayvon Pollock (Von) and Kevin Caldwell (Kruze), formed the rap group C.B.C. Which is considered one of the hottest well rounded groups emerging from Miami-Dade County in Florida. In the beginning, music was more of a hobby than just something to do for fun, they spent the next four years harnessing their lyrical craft. C.B.C performed at many venues and showcases in local areas allowing them to establish the name C.B.C (City Boyz Clique) as a local favorite. In the year 2005, Erique Roberson (Riigh) was added to the group, C.B.C. then released their first official mix tape entitled, “We Hot U Not (vol. 1)” in November of 2005. A vast growing number of listeners demanding to hear more from C.B.C. encouraged the group to get back into the studio quickly. Two months following their previous performance the group released the second mix tape titled, “We Still Hot U Not (vol. 2).” Months later the group was heard throughout Miami-Dade County, and began to get more recognition and features on many other local artists album and mixed tape projects. When things became unstable for the group as with many groups in the past, members of the group went their separate ways, immediately following the completion of their fourth mixtape. Rushaud Issa (T.N) and Dontae Booker (S.L) were two of the artists featured on Hottest In Da South which was the last project with the old members of C.B.C. NU-B.O.R.N formally known as C.B.C was in need of two new members and these artists showcased a particular passion and talent that was untapped or heard. The current five-member group began to grow and learn more about the music business at a rapid pace. After a small speed bump in the groups growth, all five members went back into the studio to create their fifth mix tape entitled “Deal Wit It (vol. 5) released in May of 2007.” In control of their own production and promotion, all five members wrote their own material. The group has met some support on their journey to success in an area where there is little to no information given for up and coming hip hop artists. NU-B.O.R.N. has not been derailed on achieving their goals.Separating themselves from masses of other local artists. NU-B.O.R.N’s music varies from in-depth storytelling to gripping club banger’s with catchy hooks, their creativity and combination of versatility and lyrical delivery has bound them to be one of the best young groups about to come out of the Miami -Dade region. So look out for this up and promising group to entice your ears and tease your thoughts with words and music appeasing to the soul.
