Sun comes up and the rooster crows, what the day holds nobody knows. Take a deep breath of country air, wash your face and comb your hair, Have some breakfast and coffee too, look at the list of chores to do. Step outside and greet the day, there just can't be a better way chorus; This country life is the life for me, hearth and home and family. Workin hard and livin right lets you sleep so well at night. Count your blessings and say your prayers there's nothing sweeter than country air. Feed the chickens and tend the goats, make sure the horses get their oats. Weed the garden and pick what's ripe, that'll be for supper tonight. Summer time might grab a pole, and head on down to the fishin' hole.
